 There shall be a Dean of colleges,a Dean of postgraduate studies and a Dean for
each faculity. |
| A Dean shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Academic
Council subject to the approvel of the Board. |
| A Dean shall receive such salary and allowances and his other condition of service shall
be such as may be specified in the ordinances of the university. |
| The Dean of faculty shall be the chairman of the Board of the Studies of his faculty and shall
be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for observance of the status and ragulation relating to
the faculty and for conducting and organising teaching,training and research. |
| The Dean of colleges shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the observance of
Status and ragulation relating to colleges and for co-ordination amongest various colleges for
conducting and organising training,research,etc. |
| The Dean of colleges shall co-ordinate activities in various collegs and Dean of a faculty
shall likewise co-ordinate activties in various departements and sections of his faculty. |
| The Dean of post-graduate studies in colleges,departement and sections of the university
and shall exercise general supervision on post-graduate thesis research programmes. |
| A Dean shall perform all such other functions as are necessary for the proper functioning
of colleges and of faculties or as are assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor. |
